Spenser can be mobile or stationary and through positive patient identification and host query, the correct tube types labeled with the patient information, barcode and tests requested are deposited in a removable tray. The system is designed to eliminate patient misidentification and errors associated with phlebotomy and accessioning. With Spenser there is no need to accession the tubes in the laboratory as it is done bedside.
